Application for Tablet Loan for First-Year Students (Second Semester, AY 114) Opening Soon

The Library has prepared a total of 209
tablet computers for loan to first-year students in the second semester of
Academic Year 114. Eligibility is determined by student ID number. Students who
wish to apply are requested to complete the appropriate online application form
according to the schedule below:
I. Application Form Availability
(1) First-Year Economically Disadvantaged Students
Application opens: January 26 (Monday) at 10:00 a.m.

Tablet loan applications will be
reviewed in the order in which the forms are submitted. However, economically
disadvantaged students will be given priority. If you are eligible as an
economically disadvantaged student, please be sure to complete the designated
application form to ensure your priority status.
II. Tablet Loan
Regulations
1. Eligibility:
Only first-year freshmen of the current semester are eligible to apply. (Determined by student ID number)
2. Device Limit:
Each person may borrow only one tablet.
3. Borrowing Period:
The borrowing period is until the Friday of the 18th week of the semester (June 26, 2026).
4. Review Mechanism:
Applications will be reviewed by library staff (priority given to economically disadvantaged students). Once approved, the borrower will be notified via the commonly used email in the Application Information System. Upon receiving the notification, the borrower must complete the borrowing procedure at the library within three working days. If overdue, the reservation will not be retained.
5. Return Requirements:
Upon return, the tablet must be in its
original condition (including tablet bag, charging cable, plug, and other
accessories). Borrowers must delete all personal data themselves. The library
is not responsible for storing or deleting data. Borrowers are responsible for
proper use and safekeeping of the device. In case of loss, intentional damage,
or accidental damage, the borrower must compensate in cash at the purchase
price.
6. Late Return Fine:
A fine of NT$100 per day will be imposed
for each day overdue. If the tablet is not returned within 30 days (library
open days) past the due date, it will be considered lost, and the borrower must
compensate according to the full price.
7. Legal Responsibility:
Borrowers must comply with intellectual
property rights and relevant laws when using the tablet. If the borrower
intentionally or negligently violates any laws, they shall bear full legal
responsibility.
Tablet distribution is scheduled to begin on February 23. Please pay close
attention to email notifications and collect the device at the Library within
the designated time period. Applicants who fail to collect the tablet by the
specified deadline will be placed back on the waiting list.
