Cross-Campus Book / Audiovisual Borrowing Service
Application Process
(1) Book borrowing instructions:
To facilitate readers' access to books, an online cross-campus borrowing service is provided (borrowing from one campus library and returning to another). Processing requires 1–2 working days. This service only accepts cross-campus reservations. If the book is located in the same library as the selected pickup library, readers should visit the library in person and borrow it directly from the shelf.
- The Library Catalog System can be used to search the library’s holdings. In the book search screen, you may place a reservation and specify the pickup location. Once the reserved book arrives at the designated pickup library, an email notification will be sent.
- If the book has already been borrowed by another user, you may still follow the same process to designate a pickup library. You may also check your current queue position and progress under “Personalized Services” => “Reservation Records”.

(2) Audiovisual material borrowing instructions:
If a teacher needs to request audiovisual materials for teaching purposes, please go to the Cross-Campus Audiovisual Material Borrowing Application Service, sign in, fill in the relevant information, and submit the form.

Service Policy
To facilitate readers in using interlibrary cooperation services, making full use of library holdings, and sharing the collections of partner schools totaling more than nine million volumes.
How to Use
Apply for a virtual borrowing card through the system in advance. The card is valid for three days. During the valid period, users may bring their own ID and the virtual borrowing card to participating schools to borrow and return books directly. Regardless of school, up to 5 books may be borrowed, with a loan period of 14 days from the checkout date. Before applying for another virtual borrowing card, all books and overdue fines associated with the previous virtual borrowing card must be settled. Overdue fines and compensation policies are subject to the regulations of each participating library. Please make full use of the MOE Southern Region Library Resource Sharing Platform.
Notes
- Please read the Service Regulations carefully. Enter via the Service Platform, then go to Alliance Virtual Borrowing Card Service => Service Regulations at the upper right corner.
- When logging in, first select your affiliated school as I-Shou University in the left-side “Reader Area,” then enter the account and password from the university’s Personal Information Query System. Once the account is approved and activated, the virtual interlibrary borrowing card service can be used.
- Please see Applicable Schools for the list of participating libraries.
- After applying for a virtual borrowing card, you must personally visit the partner school library to borrow and return books (the university does not accept proxy returns). If you are unable to go in person, it is recommended to use the Book Borrowing / Returning on Behalf Service.

The MOE Southern Region Library Resource Sharing Platform is led by National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. Since August 6, 2012, it has provided the Virtual Interlibrary Borrowing Card Service. Member libraries of the resource center include 36 university and college libraries in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Tainan, Chiayi, Taitung, Kinmen, and Penghu. The university library is also one of the participating members (please refer to the service website homepage for the list of participating schools).
Readers of each school can apply online for a “virtual” borrowing card through this platform without having to visit the library in person to borrow a “physical” card. This allows readers to conveniently handle interlibrary borrowing cards online and personally go to participating school libraries to borrow and return books, providing a time-saving and user-friendly service for faculty and students.
