Library Automation System Hardware Failure and Repair Progress Update

The library's automation system server experienced a hardware failure on May 9, resulting in a temporary service interruption. Our technical team is currently working at full capacity to restore the system. Details regarding the repair progress and service adjustments are as follows:

I. Progress Report

Hardware repairs have been completed. System restoration is expected to take at least 5 working days, with a scheduled return to normal operations on Sunday, May 24th. An official announcement will be posted on the Office Library and Information Service website immediately once the system is back online.


II. Service Adjustments

All online services will be suspended, including:

1. Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)

2. Book Reservations

3. Space Bookings (Study Rooms / Individual Study Rooms) 

4. Personalized Services (Loan Records Inquiry, Online Renewals)

5.  Book Recommendation System


III. User Rights and On-site Services

On-site Services : General circulation services (borrowing, returning, and renewing books) remain available on-site. For borrowing requests or urgent collection inquiries, please visit our Service Desk in person or contact us via email. Our staff will be happy to provide flexible assistance to meet your needs.

Overdue Grace Period: No overdue fines will be charged for delays occurring during the outage period (starting from May 9). The library will implement a grace period for these cases.

Facilities Remain Open: Physical reading areas, study rooms, and other library facilities are unaffected and remain open for public use.
