Description
To support ubiquitous intelligent learning and to facilitate digital reading and smart learning for patrons utilizing the University's library resources, the Office of Library and Information Services has made tablet computers available for loan. These devices are intended to assist faculty, staff, and students in their teaching, research, learning, and personal development.Currently, the collection includes 60 iOS tablet computers (iPads) and 200 Android tablet computers, all of which are available for free loan.All borrowing procedures shall be conducted in accordance with the「Rules of Borrowing Tablet Computers from the Office of Library and Information Services at I-Shou University」.
The loan period is fourteen (14) days per session, and each borrower may renew the loan up to two times. Each person may borrow one tablet at a time.However, faculty and staff members who need to borrow tablets for teaching or official purposes with prior approval from the Office are not subject to this limitation.
For administrative, teaching, or event-related needs that require borrowing a large number of tablets, please submit an application to the Circulation Desk at least three days in advance for special arrangements and equipment preparation.

(new) Designated Area for the New Student iPad Program
The New Student iPad Program, offering 150 iPads, is a newly launched service for the 2024 Fall Semester (Academic Year 113). This service is exclusively available to first-year undergraduate students, and eligibility will be determined based on student ID numbers.
Economically disadvantaged students will be given priority, and their eligibility will be verified using relevant information provided by the Office of Student Affairs.
The borrowing process is based on an online application system; on-site, real-time borrowing is not available. Applicants must submit an application form via the designated online system. Upon submission, the application will be reviewed by staff, and results will be sent via email.
If the application is approved, the system will reserve an iPad for the applicant for three working days. If the device is not collected within this period, the reservation will be canceled automatically.
The loan period begins on the date of borrowing and ends on Friday of the eighteenth week of the semester.
All borrowing procedures shall be conducted in accordance with the「Rules of Borrowing Tablet Computers from the Office of Library and Information Services at I-Shou University」.
